Gordon lives in another decade.
One where linux is soon to be fixed, usable, and an actual choice.
That cube shit is working pretty good, four desktops of useless programs
is pretty cool.

Considering you can get 9 desktops on Windows with Hydrovision® if you

Try Hydravision. Hydrovision has to do with water, dumb fuck. Only nine?
There is no limit with Ubuntu. That said, most people don't need more
than four and Ubuntu has many more ways to switch to another desktop
than a hot key or a click. Well, MS stole the Compiz idea and now
they're stealing the multiple desktop idea. How innovative.

Every OS has security issues....even programs that run on said OS's have
security issues.

But......that is not the point. These are exploits that almost never
happen, like a DDOS attack, or whatever. Almost no home user will ever
experience any of that......

The *far* bigger problem, and what a high percentage of Windows users has
suffered from, or knows someone that has had problems, or is the one that
is turned to to fix these problems, is spyware and malware that get's
installed into users PCs w/o their knowledge and wreaks total havoc.

I just yesterday cleaned up *another* Windows Vista box yesterday.......one
that was up-to-date, with AV, and IE7. It had all the latest patches and
the only updates that it needed were IE8 and another small update.

But, I've absolutely never had to do that type of cleanup to a desktop
Linux box, bit this is probably the 200th time I've cleaned a Windows PC.

Please, if you have *any* information about spyware and malware for Linux
that is out there now, and spreading like wildfire, by just visiting a
website, that gets completely entwined within the Linux OS and is virtually
impossible to remove w/o doing a clean install, please let everyone know,
so we can start working on various removal tools now.
