Microsoft office picture manager question

I have a bunch of unused file names from previously saved files in picture
manager. So whenever I make changes to a file and go to "save as" there are
a bunch of file names I don't want in the drop down box. How do I delete
these? Can I delete the ones I don't want or can I at least delete them all
so that nothing shows up in the drop down box?
