Memcached was installed on the main TRN server.
After a day of reading different websites, trying different configurations, and making tons of mistakes - memcached is finally installed on the main Tux Reports server.
Several instructions for installing memcached are available but I kept forgetting to run phpize in order to complete the installation under php.
