To Err is Human but some might consider John McCain's slip Freudian while others just laugh it off.

The best part is everyone's reactions to the error. Eventually someone tells him so that he can correct the mistake.

His experience in campaigning is invaluable except there are so many cameras at every event [not just members of the press] and with the growth of social networks then campaigning is changing. Little mistakes become large.

At least into magnified mistakes, but not necessarily of importance other than to fill air time of broadcasters.
