Ok I will have to be humble and thank you for bringing that to my attention.
I prefer not to have my AV resident shield scan my emails or messages, at
some point I must have unknowingly enabled them.

Probably because that's the latest version that's available in the
Ubuntu repositories, and they haven't made the latest version of
Thunderbird available yet.

Thanks. I've been having computer problems and re-installed systems on
two computers, one of them twice, and the clock sort of got
overlooked.
Should be correct now (at least it is here :)
