Logon Q ??

Some time ago I had a Q about starting up and trying to
bypass the Logon screen (where you must click the logon Id).

So I got and used the start/run/control userpasswords2
solution to ensure that users did NOT need to enter
a user name and passwor to logon.

This caused a whole new problem.

Now I have two logon IDs and must select one.

While, when this started, I had only a MYNAME user ID
to click, now I must choose between MYNAME and
Administrator.

Either/or: How do I delete the Administrator
ID (because the MYNAME ID brings up all the settings
I originally set)/How do I make the Administrator
ID have the same attributes as the MYNAME ID I
started with???

Thanks and all, but that just runs the regedit/control userpasswords2
In the end, after hibernation, I still need to select user MYNAME
to get to a desktop. I want to avoid having to select MYNAME; I
don't need to select it on any of my other machines.

Go to the Display properties page, select Screen Saver, and unclick the
option "On resume, display the Welcome screen".

Sorry, but all I see there is "On Resume, Password Protect"

which is NOT checked.

The fact that you're having the computer enter hibernation and not turning
it off changes things. See if this works: Control Panel -> Power Options ->
Advanced tab -> Uncheck "Prompt for password when computer resumes from
standby" -> Click OK.

Good luck

OK, did that some days ago. No change. That option has been
"not selected" for days.

But I did just notice that when I boot up, I go right
to the MYNAME desktop without needing to click any
user name.

But when I become active after hibernation, I need to
select the MYNAME user on the "Logon??" screen before
getting to the MYNAME desktop.

Howcum it's different???
