After clearing a virus I now am required to log in each time I boot up. How do I make it
automatic?

Having a virus wasn't enough to teach you the importance of logging in
with a password every time?

I used Vipre to scan after startup. I do not run virus scans at startup. I enable Vipre
before I enter the internet. Following your advice, I do not use MSE any more.

How do I eliminate the name and password at startup?

Begin a new thread in microsoft.public.windowsxp.general newsgroup about
your issue, as it has nothing to do with IE.
