Linux?? Is it some kind of a joke? Just tried 3 different versions. They all sucked.

You still have mighty loose moral principals.
Your own reasoning for needing Win 7 was gaming only.
You now have additional uses that forced you to succumb to
activation/authentication ?

Just because I click on it doesn't mean I agree with it.

It's not Linux users. It's Windows users that Linux users observe. It's
Windows users that Linux users have to bail out because Windows fails to
live up to all of it's hype and propaganda.

My Windows problems are minimal because my Windows use is.

THIS is bog standard iTunes behavior. However, Linux tools don't do this.
There just isn't any reason for them. There isn't any sort of DRM or other
strange compulsion driving this.

This is a part of his post that is a total lie and fabrication and is a
pretty good indication that he's never touched Ubuntu in his entire life.

This is one area where Ubuntu simply stomps all over all of the competition.

MCE in a VM won't play video. Of course I know better than to blame MCE for it.

That's hilarious. Every machine I've ever installed Linux on had the
correct sound and printer drivers automatically installed.

Sounds like a personal problem. I use dual LCD monitors on my laptop all
the time, no prob.

D'oh! Did you by any chance bother installing the right codecs? It only
takes a few seconds, unless you're on dial-up.

One should always back up things one wants to keep.

Liar. I've never seen a Linux installation run as slow as Windows does.
Less overhead, you see?

You really must be describing an improperly installed Windows.

Unimpressive. I don't believe that you've ever tried Linux. No one should
be able to have all of these problems with Ubuntu.

Windows 7 is still inferior to Linux. While Win7 is a huge improvement over
previous versions, it still has problems.

Well if you'd open your eyes and look at the headers, you'd see that
this thread has been cross-posted between comp.os.linux.advocacy and
alt.windows7.general. I'm reading this in alt.windows7.general and
perhaps the other guy was as well. There are a few twits here that have
been fanning a flame war between Linux and Windows and it's my guess the
thought it would be cute to start cross-posting this mess to a Linux group.

COLA is not a Linux group. It's an anti MS group. Subscribe and be
amazed at the lies and froth these morons spout about Windows and
Balmer/Gates. It's astonishing how much hate single cellar dwelling
fat guys with dirty beards can generate. God knows how their Mom's put
up with them down in the basement pretending to have girlfriends and
daughters who regularly use Linux on their new laptops ......
