Linking betwen processors

I have a laptop using Windows 7 and a desktop using XP. Can I link these two
together to share data between them?

Start -> Help and Support
Search on "file sharing"

You need to ensure that whatever firewall you use has the ports opened that
are used for file and printer sharing.

Note: Your subject is incorrect. You don't want to link processors. You
want to network hosts.

Yes. Google for information about networking computers.

Hint: you'll probably want to put out a few bucks for a router.
