Lesson 04: History of Chemistry

Objectives:

Students create a timeline showing 14 - 15 events important to the study of chemistry.

Students practice converting units (years to cm)

Students practice measuring

Students create a timeline using a scale of 1 cm equals 25 years. Students begin marking points for 1700 BC and 2011 on their timeline. Next, students measure for the year 0. Students add the remaining events onto their timeline.
