Lenovo thinkpads have a historical reputation for sturdy construction
and reliabolity.

Have users found this still to be true?

Is this also true for Ideapads?

Been satisfied with Windows 7 compatibility? Linux?

Thanks much for your time,
Bubba

Thinkpads are very sturdy machines, so are ideapads. I have an ideapad Y series and its great. It depends what you are looking in a machine, but they are both good.
