I'd been using OneNote for a while but formatted my computer reinstalled the
program and didn't touch it for ages. However, recently when I came back to
it the eraser on my Lenovo x61 tablet suddenly had a different default
behavior. Rather than selecting the type of eraser I had selected, it instead
brings up the lasso. Anyone have any suggestions on changing that behavior so
I erase properly again?

Just click on the eraser icon in the taskbar.
