No, of all the posters on Usenet that I've ever seen, you getting
infected would be pure and unadulterated justice.

Thanks for proving how clueless you are regarding drive by attacks. You
can get infected using Bing or Google to search.

Well, you're Mr. Oops, what else?

Oh the irony coming from a lying linturd troll who does not have nor use
Windows Vista/7.
Big oops clueless one!

I have Windows 7 as I have told you innumerable times and the FACT is
that IE is an integral part of Windows 7 and with Linux, nothing is
integrated with the kernel and this is by design to prevent any malware
from doing *anything* but just sit there.

Not well enough not to be rootkitted without the users knowledge.

IE8 is sandboxed. Windows explorer is not IE.

Really?

Certainly possible in 2009...

How to inject malicious code into the Linux kernel via dev/mem/ and
rootkit the OS

From the article:

"We have presented a method for reading/writing kernel memory as well as
storing code inside the kernel, all from userspace. This device is very
powerful
and opens a lot of doors for possibilities. Attackers with root privileges
may use this to accomplish many standard rootkit behaviors such as hiding
processes, opening remote backdoors, hijacking system calls, etc. Injecting
code into the kernel through this vector is for the most part pretty
clean and
simple. It is also considerably less noisy than using LKMs to insert a
rootkit."

Note it says one has to have root privileges. A strong password and a
hard NAT firewall in a router will stop this lame shit. Is that all you got?

You've yet to post any article where Windows 7 running IE8 with it
default setting is susceptible to being hacked.
