Internet connection settings

Hi

I have just fixed up a friends Laptop, this included a
format and re-install of XP Home SP2, this was done at my
place for convenience.

While installing the OS I had my Internet Ethernet cable
inserted and when install completed I activated over my
Internet Connection, this was all fully automatic.
I also installed MSE and updated it over my connection.

Now question is, when my friend takes the Laptop home and
plugs it into their connection, will it use my ISP and account
or theirs.

If it will use my account how do I stop that before I give them back their
Laptop?

Thanks

Daniel

No your friend will use his ISP and his connection settings because
connecting any device using Cat5 cable does not actually set anything
permanently by default. so don't worry abut it and you don't need to do
anything.

The only thing you should do is to install SP3 before letting him lose
on the net just for his own protection.

Please, please change to non-caps for your signature. Makes it difficult to
read. Please...

Please please don't read it if you don't like it. I don't believe in
small prints in any documents because they could be missed by innocent
parties!

Of course I don't read it simply because I hate CAPITALIZED text as much as,
if not more so, than people shouting, or "ripping their asses and wearing
them on their heads", as one expression goes in one of the languages I know.

If you seriously think that you can hear my capitalized signature
then clearly you have a serious mental problem. It is time to see
your psychiatrist who can advice you better. There is a danger to
let you lose on our streets because tomorrow you might hear voices
from certain GOD to kill somebody you don't like. Please, please
go and see your physician before you kill somebody using Microsoft
Windows Operating system.

Anyone who refers to himself using the third person neuter ("LD55ZRA OR ITS
ASSOCIATES") deserves to be kill-filed. Especially if the poster includes a
silly disclaimer as his signature ... and affixes a copyright notice to it.

Well said. The chap's a nutter. He cannot grasp the simple fact that paras
of capitalized text are more difficult and more tiring to read that normal
small letters. Capital letters are merely used to draw attention to the
beginning of a new sentence or to surnames etc and very occasionally to a
particular word one needs to stress when bolding or italics which are
normally used to this end are not available.

How did you work this out? Is it because you are one a nutter to
know another?
