I'm interested in hearing from people who have devised innovative and
imaginative ways of using OneNote in their daily lives. My interest
is in doing a series of blog articles about this.

FYI, I'm not a professional blogger, writer or publisher. Just doing
this out of a personal love for the product and to bring to others'
attention some of the out-of-the-box ways that it can be used.

If you're interested, drop me a note at steve.silverwood@gmail.com or
reply here.

Thanks in advance!

This is the user report that got me to start using OneNote last year:

http://www.wintellect.com/CS/blogs/jrobbins/archive/2009/12/06/how-i-use-onenote.aspx

Since I've started using the product (OneNote 2007 last year and now 2010), I find that I'm much more prone to record my
loose thoughts rather than let them escape back into the ether and hope I remember next time. And now that the OneNote
2010 SKU is included in all editions of Office 2010, my entire company is going to be using it, so I am looking forward
to using its collaborative qualities with my team members.

I use ON for a number of things. One of my favorites is to use it an
integrated bookmark system for online and hard copy items of interest. I
clip articles, ideas, etc. from (hard copy only) publications such as
magazines, brochures, catalogs and newspapers. I then scan in the idea to
ON, throw away the publication and the hard copy clipping, and am set to go.
I used to save a pile of magazines, never go back to them and lose the idea
forever. Now I have the picture, text and annotations in an easily searched
format that can be integrated with similar things that I find online. Of
course, I can print them out if I want. This is great for technology,
sports such as fishing or surfing, woodworking and crafts, recipes, and
news. It is also a good way to reach people who don't get all of their info
electronically.
