IE8 saving favorites to wronf spot (Vista)

Syrin needs help

Heya all.

Just upgraded to IE8 a few weeks ago. I am having a problem with the saves
files/directory. It took some time but the problem appears to be that when I
click the "favorites" button then the "Add to favorites" button, it brings up
a list of folders to put the link under.

It appears to be saving these at:

Sean --> Favorites --> Links --> Sean

When I am using IE8, then click on the favorites button and try to pull up a
new link that I saved it is missing. When it open the favorites folders it
appears to be doing so from:

Local disk --> Users --> Sean --> Favorites

So how do I get it to store the link under the same place it accesses the
link? This was not an issue when using IE7.

Thanks in advance

More precisely tell us what opens if you Run... (e.g. press Win-R and
enter:)

shell:Favorites

Supposedly Vista has a new Location tab for its Favorites, Properties, page.
Then you could use it to move your Favorites to a different location if
necessary...
