I wonder if there is a fix for IE8 not being able to properly restore links upon reopening. This works wonderfully in FireFox but IE8 falls short and I typically have both browsers open with several tabs. A typcial scenario might be that I update windows while using IE8 and after updating I'm asked to reboot the system so I do. Upon coming out of reboot, all of my open tabs in IE8 are lost (well not lost, I can reopen them from memory). IE8 will ask if I want to open the previous tabs and I say yes but this doesn't lead to all previous tabs being opened. Is there a fix for this behavior? Hi, Unless you start your WU at 11:50pm, from IE View>Explorer Bars>History, sort by Visited today in all browsers will show your last tab set and more. Regards. That doesn't seem to be an effective way around IE8's inability to restore the last session. There are numerous links displayed in History which may or may not have been active at the time the browser was shut down. I only want the ones that were active to be restored and I want IE8 to do this itself. IE8 should be able to open those links which were active and resore the last session. I take it there is no way for IE8 to do this? Hi, Add about:tabs to your homepage list or select the Tools>Reopen last browsing session menu option. The about:tabs page has a list of tabs from your last browsing session. Regards.
