IE8 Error on startup

IE8 has been acting strange the last few times I've booted my computer. My
startup apps seem to be ok except that I also get the IE message saying that
it can't access this webpage and tells me certain things I can try to fix the
problem. However, it doesn't say what the web site is or why it's trying to
access one. It just seems to come from nowhere but "only when I start up my
computer".

Does anyone have an idea to keep this from happening? I've run a virus
check and no problem was found that way. Nothing appears to be in the
Startup folder that would try to access a web page. I just don't know.

Thanks in advance.

Hi Glenn,

Have you ever had any 'FunWebProducts' installed on your computer? Any AOL
software? Any Stardoc or Alienware software? Any Quicktime?

Also look in your Start>(All) Programs>Start up menu list.
and
Start>Run>msconfig - Startup tab.

If you have the Google Toolbar installed, go to toolbar.google.com and
download and install v6.

(Note to MSFT: The GTB is missing a linkID in the IE Compatibility list.)

Regards.
