IE8 doesn't display a window in a new page on www.mygov.mt

When I browse to www.mygov.mt, and follow the logon sequence, I cannot
continue browsing within the page. The problem only occurs on my laptop
which runs Win SP SP3 / IE8, and, it cannot be replicated on the computers
used by the technical support team, which they say runs Win XP.

The problem doesn't replicate on Windows Vista either.

Popups are set to be allowed; I've cleared SSL State, and, still not sure
how to sort out the problem.

Any ideas?

Hi,
Some things to try...

Is a third-party pop-up blocker running- a toolbar from Yahoo, Google,
Earthlink, etc?
- - -
Start Internet Explorer without add-ons by right-clicking the IE icon on the
desktop. Choose Start without add-ons.
or
from Start> Programs> Accessories> System tools> Internet Explorer (no
add-ons)
If the problem goes away, an add-on is causing it.

For troubleshooting information see:
IEBlog Troubleshooting and Internet Explorer’s (No Add-ons) Mode:
http://blogs.msdn.com/ie/archive/2006/07/25/678113.aspx
- - -
From Internet Options> Security, reset the Internet Zone to default level.
- - -
From Internet Options> Security> Trusted Sites, place the site in Trusted
Sites.
- - -
With the warning that a reset will delete AutoComplete data, such as
passwords and you will have to reinstall or re-enable browser add-ons, use
the Reset Internet Explorer Settings button (Internet Options> Advanced.)

Useful for recovering stored passwords before you clear all stored login
data:
IE PassView- NirSoft:

What a reset of IE settings will do:
