IE8 and Google search

Everything has been fine since IE2. However, ever since I installed IE8, I
can do anything I want except search from google.com. Every time I try, I
get the "Internet Explorer has stopped working" message, and I have had to
use Firefox for google searches for quite a long time, now. I even
reinstalled Windows Vista, and updated everything I could, and I still cannot
search with Google.

I have installed Mozilla's Firefox and set the home page to Google's
Advanced Search. I removed all 3rd party toolbars from all browsers. Many
folks have a bunch. They never use them. They simply take up desktop real
estate.
