IE is not working but firefox does work. Tried installing IE8 optimized for MSN but I get the message "the installation does not support system architecture (32/64 bits." I tried installing IE8 for Windows Vista x64 but I get the message that an newer version is already installed on my computer. I am presently using firefox to send this message.

Hi, Are you running 64-bit Vista? With 64-bit Vista you should already have 32-bit and 64-bit versions of Internet Explorer installed. Do you have iexplore (or iexplore.exe) files located at: "CProgram Files (x86)\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe" (32-bit) and/or "CProgram Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe" (64-bit) Will Internet Explorer (either version) open by right-clicking the IE icon on the desktop (choose Start without add-ons.) or from Start> Programs> Accessories> System tools> Internet Explorer (no add-ons) If IE opens without add-ons, look at IE> Help> About (hit the Alt key if the Menu Bar isn't enabled.) Is there any mention of 64-bit in IE> Help> About?
