IE 8 Problem

Win XP Pro mach. I just installed IE 8 and now can't get to the Internet. I
can ping web sites (yahoo.com) and can get email but can't open a web page.
Get the Cannot Display Web Page msg. I've run TCP IP Fix and a few other
tools and ran the O/S repair but nothing seems to change.

Any suggestions? TIA

Did you try running IE8 in no add-ons mode? (iexplore.exe -extoff)
Did you try to uninstall IE8? [Control Panel]>[Add or Remove Programs], Windows
Internet Explorer 8.

Depending upon what you did with "a few other tools" and "O/S repair" you may
need to reformat and re-install Windows.

Please post your full Windows version including service pack. State what
real-time scanning software was running when you installed IE8. Describe
completely what you did with "a few other tools" and what you mean by "O/S repair".
