IE 8 freezes on a particular URL

I'm running the latest XP and IE 8. I update and clean daily. I have good
securty protection. Everything seems to run perfecty including multiple IE
windows. However, when I attempt to open a particular web page the IE freezes
and won't close. The Task Manager shows that it has created two copies but it
doesn't show that in the status bar. I have to use the Task Manage to close
both occurances and it takes a very long time to do so. Even stranger, when I
attempt to view or edit that web page in Site Builder it freezes the Site
Builder window and the Task Manager show two occurances. Can you shed any
light on this problem. Here is the URL that casues the problem.

1. Does the behavior persist if you start IE in No Add-ons mode?

=> Start | (All) Programs | Accessories | System Tools | Internet
Explorer (No add-ons).

IE8 in all OSS]

2. Does the behavior persist if you Reset IE Advanced settings (RIES)?

3. What anti-virus application or security suite is installed and is your
subscription current? What anti-spyware applications (other than Defender)?
What third-party firewall (if any)? Were any of these applications running
in the background when you installed IE8?

4. Has a(nother) Norton or McAfee application ever been installed on this
machine (e.g., a free-trial version that came preinstalled when you bought
it)?

I just tried and it worked ok for me. It wanted to install something from
Microsoft media player and it downloaded correctly. Could there be something
wrong with Media Player on your computer? It also uses Java so make sure you
have the latest version which you can test here
