I have four browsers, and each of them has a button that says, in effect,
MAKE ME THE DEFAULT BROWSER, and a checkbox that says to check this
everytime, or not. That's enough for me.
Since the OP did not ask about how to set the default viewer for HTML files,
then the fact that one can go into the File Associations and tell Windows
what to do when an HTML file is double-clicked does not seem to be
important, and this action is controlled by the OS.
The Default Browser is the one that opens when the user clicks a link and
wants a browser to come up. That is controlled by the browser, not the OS.
So, your response(s) of, "Wrong!" and "+1" falls short. And, begs the
question of, "Why are you asking me?", I'm not the one with a problem
setting my default browser.
