IE 7, IE 8 and proxy.pac files

Our proxy.pac files no longer work since upgrading to IE7 or IE8. They were
pretty basic.... if the laptop was inside our subnet, enforce proxy. If not
in subnet, go direct to internet.

Anyone got a proxy.pac file that works with IE7 or 8?

Guess you'll need to go to whomever wrote the proxy.pac file you are using
or find someone that knows J[ava]script to write up a new one for the
FindProxyForURL() function defined therein.

I'm not sure that anyone else's proxy.pac script would be germaine to your
network configuration. I've only seen the contents of a couple of them.
They can get very complex and include provisions for load-balancing, fault
tolerance, and other purposes.
