Buy a cheap USB key [maybe 1GB+], copy the files on the CD to the USB key.
Run off USB key.

Assuming you have got a retail version of the CD (and therefore a retail
key), you can download the product from here:

<http://www.microsoft.com/office/downloads/>

Your key will work if it is from a box you bought from your local store or
Amazon.

Let us know if this worked.

3 or possibly 4 methods depending on software version.

1. On a different computer with CD drive access copy the entire CD to a USB
device and plug into your netbook and install from there.
2. Put the netbook onto a network that has a computer with a CD drive and
install through the network.
3. Purchase a USB external CD/DVD drive and install using that device. It
is also useable in creating DVDs and CDs and even reinstalling the OS in
case of failure.

4. If this is a retail version of Office Pro, Office small Business edition
or Home and Student (all 2007 versions) then you can go to this web site and
download the installer package. http://www.microsoft.com/office/downloads/
