i cant remember my password for a section in OneNote! help!

when i fist started using onenote 2007 i put a password on a section and now
i cant remember what the password is! i have tried some recovery programs but
none seem to work as the free ones have limitations like only searching for 3
characters etc. any tips? would uninstalling onenote and reinstalling it
work( probably not but better safe to ask) or why cant the people in
Microsoft office online just send you the password like you can do for email
accounts??

If the password recovery programs are not working then you are out of luck.
Uninstalling and reinstalling will not work either. The reason microsoft
can't send you the password is they do not know it. The password is saved
locally in the file, not on their servers.
