Hyperlinks

Have a XPSP3 workstation that hyperlinks in Office no longer work.

Outlook - I get the tooltip box for CTRL-Click to follow the link, but
nothing happens.

In Word, the INSERT HYPERLINK menu option doesn't do anything - no dialog
box opens.

Excel - the insert hyperlink gives me the options, but I don't get the OK
button to insert.

Client has Firefox as primary browser. IE8 is installed.

Tried all the tips I could find - made IE the primary, registered all the
DLL's - mshtml.dll throughs an error though. Can't find anything on this...

Upgraded to Office 2010, no difference.

Any ideas would be appreciated. About ready to reimage this machine!

Thanks in advance!

Steve

What happens if you create a new Windows user profile? Do things work
correctly for the new user?

Nope - one of the first things I tried.

Originally, I thought it was limited to Outlook - so I logged in as a new
user to that machine, so I'd have a "clean" Outlook profile.

Then I realized it was all of the Office products.

I was going to try to uninstall IE8, but have heard that can be messy with
other apps installed afterword - where there have been quite a few...

Something so simple, yet so difficult to pin down!

Thanks!
