How to reposition All Programs menu?

When I click on Start > All Programs, the long two-column list of
applications is too low on the display.

The last line (or more?) is actually off-screen. The mouse cursor will go
off-screen and select what I believe is the last application in the
right-hand column. But if there is a corresponding off-screen application
(or more?) in the left-hand column, the mouse cursor will not go there.
(Perhaps that indicates there are no off-screen applications in the
left-hand column.)

There is room above the All Programs menu on my display.

How can I cause the All Programs menu to open so that the top is aligned
with the top of the display?

I am using WinXP Pro SP3. My display resolution is 1024x768 (max), with 96
DPI (normal).

Maybe scrolling would be worth a try...

Right click your Windows Taskbar and choose...
Properties / Start Menu tab / Customize button /
Advanced tab...scroll down and check the box
"Scroll Programs" / OK / Apply / OK.

Thanks. That does work. I prefer the multicolumn presentation for ease of
access. But if the scrollable single column is the only solution, I can
live with it.

If I could only get the Programs list to "dock" at a higher point on the
display, everything would be visible -- for now. Don't know what would
happen if/when more applications are loaded. I ass-u-me-d the Programs list
would extend to 3 columns.

Thanks again.

Sorry...I don't know how to actually reposition
the start menu

Maybe it would be worth a try to add sub-folders
to your start menu so you could group various
programs to conserve space.

See the following article:

You need to adjust the "Vertical Position" of the monitor, so the
display doesn't go off-screen" on the bottom.

Then it will go off the screen at the top. That is not the solution.

Then the OP would need to adjust the vertical height and position.
