How to enable dragging Favorites in IE8 into Fav subfolders?

On my old WinXP system I was able to drag in IE8 a bookmarked Favorites to a Favorite sub folder.
During dragging onto the target favorite subfolder this subfolder opened automatically and I could
inserts it to the new subfolder.

Trying the same on a new Win7 system with IE8 the Favorites subfolder does not expand cascadingly itself.
If I release the dragged Favorites on top of a subfolder this Favorite is placed just above the subfolder
on the same hierarchy level.

How can I enable auto-expanding of fovoriates folders on dragging?

How can I move Favorites to lower hierarchy levels otherwise?

Slow response, but...
Do this from Windows Explorer. Browse to your favorites folder at Computer>
Local Disk (C)> Users> your account> Favorites. Create a shortcut to this
folder on the desktop to make this operation and other Favorites organizing
work easier in the future.

Hope this helps,
Don
