How do you edit file associations in Windows Media 12?

Either Microsoft removed the option to edit file associations in Windows
Media 12 or it's now buried and hidden so deep that it's impossible to find.

Does anyone know how to do this or is it impossible? If I can't change
this, then I'm uninstalling WMP12.

The file association settings have been moved to a more central place,
in the Windows Control Panel: Programs - Default Programs - Set your
default programs - Select WMP - Choose defaults for this program.
