How do I protect my e-mail address (etc.) when using Microsoft forums?

I have learned that there are a number of things that you don't do in
this newsgroup if you don't want to be spammed to death--most
importantly, never use your real e-mail address. I need similar
instructions on how to establish myself on Windows Live/Microsoft Forums
in a similar safe-no spam-mode. I am one that asks for help from
members of this newsgroup and that is what I want to do in forum world.

Thanks for any help sent my way on this subject.

Set up a throwaway web mail account at Gmail, Yahoo, etc. and use that
for the MS forums instead of your primary address.

Unlike the newsgroups, your email address is NEVER displayed in your forum
posts not is it available to anyone but you in your Profile settings so
there's no need to "munge" your address or use a "throw-away"
address...especially since it must be associated with a Live ID.
