My text has recently changed to italic, how can I change back to normal
text.
I have recently installed office 2007 so think the problem stems from this.

thanks

What text? You haven't told us anywhere near enough information to make
even the wildest guess.

Still more needed yet. As this is a Windows 7 newsgroup, can we safely
assume that you're using Windows 7? If so, there isn't a mail/news client
included with Win7 so what are you using to read/write mail and news?

Strange. The header shows both you and SS using Outlook Express, which
isn't supposed to run in Windows 7.

You: Microsoft Outlook Express 6.00.2900.5843
SS: Microsoft Outlook Express 6.00.2900.3598

That's because I'm currently using XP Pro but a few days ago I installed
Win7 Ultimate 64-bit on a seperate partition, so that I can dual boot my
machine while I evaluate it and get things set up in 7 the way I like them.
For instance, I've always used Outlook Express since I got my first PC
(Win95) in 1995 and have always been happy with it, so I'm completely
stumped as to what to use in 7 now that I can't use OE. On balance, I think
Thunderbird is winning that particular race but I'm still looking - which is
why I'm currently using XP )

I also miss OE. I have settled on Thunderbird 2, for now. I like it
better than T'bird 3. I DON'T like MS Live Mail!!

After wrestling with Tbird 3 for a while I gave up and returned to
Tbird2. Perhaps one of these days that will tame 3 and I'll try it again.

I guess you didn't read the above link. If you're not willing to
completely and accurately describe your problem, I'm not in the mood to
play teeth-pulling games with you.

You're on your own as far as I'm concerned. Good luck - you're going to
need it.

I'm using TBird 3 and love it and haven't had any problems so far. I
guess it's all about how you went about upgrading from TB2 to TB3.
