The Oregon based wind farm backed by Google has gone online today. According to Oregon officials, "The Shepherds Flat project is one of the largest on-shore wind farms in the world." The wind farm is expected to produce an estimated 2 billion kWh each year, and have an annual economic impact of $37 million for the state.
