When I turn on the Street View option in Google earth, the program locks up and becomes unusable. Is does this on two different Win 7 PCs. One is a 32 bit laptop, the other is a 64 bit desktop. Both have Win 7 Home Premium. Note: It doesn't lock up on my old Vista PC. Any solutions? Tom

Works great without the Street View, which has the advantage that all of those annoying cameras don't clutter things up. Tom

Even if the PC is new, the drivers might need updating. My PC was bought from a specialist PC builder for quite a high price and one set of drivers was dated March 2008. Incidentally, updating drivers has suddenly turned into a big bother. Also my old XP machine (3.8 GHz Pentium 4 with 1 GB memory) struggled with Google Earth on street view so if you have an oldish PC and click things a lot expecting too much you will get it in a twist.
