Hi all

I have a 2 month old Acer notebook with 32-bit Win7 Home Premium
(upgraded from Vista). A friend has a one month old Acer notebook
with 64-bit Win7 Home Premium. We both have Linksys wireless routers
(mine's a couple of years older than his). We both have a weather
gadget and a CBC-Radio gadget on the desktop. Mine work -- his don't

In his case the gadgets won't connect to the internet, even though he
can do email and web browse with either wireless or wired connections.
His used to work and then stopped working a week or so ago.

Does anyone have an idea why this is happening and what we can do to
fix it?

Sounds like a third-party firewall is blocking the gadgets. Norton maybe?

Thanks. I thought of that. He has Kaspersky Internet Security. The
gadgets worked before with KIS on. Completely uninstalled KIS and it
made no difference, so I re-installed it.
