Funny story: The first thing I did was "delete program files" ;)

Hello,

When I started using Windows 95 for the first time, the first thing I did
was:

"Delete Program Files"

I was like: "What's all this junk doing on my computer ?"

Fortunately somebody else was with me who said: "NOOOOOOO, That's all your
programs !" LOL.

He was able to "undelete it" lol ! =D

Stupid Microsoft/Windows LOL ;) =D

Bye,
Skybuck =D

I am intrigued about the way you sheet out the blame for this accident.
About your friend undeleting the folder: Undelete programs can do only so
and so much. You need to expect some serious damage - see your next post
(which, by the way, should be in this first thread). I think you're looking
at a complete re-installation of Windows.

Great now that you have Win95 mastered
I expect you'll be moving up to Win98 pretty soon.

Of course Win98 does not have a cure for stupidity either...

pretty bad of Microsoft for not having a solution.

How do you jump to the conclusion that win95 is NOW in use? Back in "the
day" of CP/M and just after moving to WFW, my wife did the same thing on
Drive C on me. She meant to delete *.bak but deleted *.* instead. Undelete
brought back every single file necessary and nothing was lost. I don't see
why win95 would have been any different if the recovery was done
immediately. Same for win98, actually. In use files made no difference as
they were immediately updated anyway I imagine.
What would 95 have been missing as long as the files weren't overwritten?
Just curious.

HTH,

Twayne
