Folder view in explorer with focus in right pane

I recently did something to make the folder view on the left, in
Explorer open by default (which I like). However, the focus is always
in the folder pane itself, and when I move the scroll wheel, it is the
folder pane on the left which starts moving. I would like to use the
right pane to scroll up and down with by default. Is there any way to
get explorer to open with the focus on the right pane (while still
giving me the folder pane by default)?

Use the Windows Explorer command line switch /select in your shortcut:
