Your computer has a media card reader. Open the case and disconnect the
cables from the USB header to the media card reader. On the other hand, this
is normally what you would see when the media card reader is functioning
properly.

Please answer all of the following questions by number in your next reply
(no need to quote this post):

1. Is the computer currently fully-patched at Windows Update & is SP3
installed?

2. What anti-virus application or security suite is installed and is your
subscription current? What anti-spyware applications (other than Defender)?
What third-party firewall (if any)?

3. Did a Norton or McAfee free-trial come preinstalled on the computer when
you bought it (and which would have been reinstalled, but invalid, when you
reinstalled Windows)?

4 steps to help protect your new computer before you go online

5. Did you take care of everything on the above page BEFORE otherwise
connecting the machine to the internet or a local network (i.e., other
computers) AND BEFORE connecting a flash drive, SDCard, or any other
external drive to the computer?

The card reader is the series of three holes, below the two optical bays.

In the picture on page 7 here, it is the upper item in the 3.5" rack section.

In the middle-right picture on page 8, you can see it uses a USB cable with
pin header on the end. That cable could be disconnected at either end,
and removes both power and data at the same time. Make changes with all
power off to the computer (to prevent damage).

Maybe there is something in Device Manager you could disable,
if you don't want to bother with cabling.
