i use firefox primarily for my development, i'm on linux.

please allow posting using firefox on /communities/newsgroups.

it's quite unprofessional not to support such basic features in browsers
other than your own.

I'd say it's more unprofessional to use a web interface to read a
newsgroup. Use a real newsreader instead, and you'll have no trouble
posting.

What did you expect us *users* in Usenet to do about Microsoft's webnews-
for-dummies interface? No one here can do anything about how Microsoft
codes their web gateway to Usenet.

When using a webnews-for-dummies interface, like Microsoft's Communities or
Google Groups or a forum-to-Usenet proxy, those are gateways to Usenet.
Despite the appearance of a forum, you are participating in a newsgroup (aka
Usenet).
