Error: ACPI Call Method Failed

I have since yesterday a new PC and today appeared the above error. No way
to shut down. I tried everything. Quick pressing Reset did not help, only
pressing for more than 30 seconds the Reset finally helped. I hate to "get
out" like that.

After a search on google I saw that a lot of people already had this kind of
error. I didn't find a solution.

Any idea? Any help?

TIA

Thank you Brian. I had to bring the machine back to the shop today because
this morning it didn't start up. After reading your answer I phoned the shop
to ask if ACPI was on or off in BIOS. They said they couldn't look right now
because the pc was not mounted but they will check. Hopefully they put it
together so that it will work...
