    I have a website which has an embedded YouTube video, but when viewed with IE
    the place where the video should be displayed is simply white.

    The website is www dot burrenyoga dot com

    I can include the video embed html code if anyone needs it.... but this is
    the standard YouTube embed video code.

    The video is displayed fine using other browsers.

    Can anyone suggest what could be causing this?

    Thanks,
    Dave

    Maybe you are using the 64 bit version of IE?

    Hi Rob,
    When i go to 'Help' 'About IE' i see the version is
    IE 8

    8.0.6001.18702
    Ciper Strength 128 bit

    OS is XP Professional Service pack 3

    The code to embed the video is taken directly from Vimeo (not YouTube)

    <object width="400" height="300"><param name="allowfullscreen" value="true"
    /><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always" /><param name="movie"
    value="http://vimeo.com/moogaloop.swf?clip_id=10487438&server=vimeo.com&show_title=1&show_byline=1&show_portrait=0&color=&fullscreen=1"
    /><embed
    src="http://vimeo.com/moogaloop.swf?clip_id=10487438&server=vimeo.com&show_title=1&show_byline=1&show_portrait=0&color=&fullscreen=1"
    type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowfullscreen="true"
    allowscriptaccess="always" width="400" height="300"></embed></object><p><a
    href="http://vimeo.com/10487438">Yoga retreat holidays in Ireland</a> from <a
    href="http://vimeo.com/user3469653">Burren Yoga</a> on <a
    href="http://vimeo.com">Vimeo</a>.</p>

    Any ideas?

    Dave

    Problem solved;

    I browsed some other Forums and discovered that i needed to download Adobe
    Flash player. This solved the problem. I was using a test Laptop that i
    normally don't use.

    Best Wishes,
    Dave
