Deleteing an expired security certificate

I have an expired security certificate. I have created a new one using
selfcert.exe and installed it. On my laptop I was able to delete the expired
certificate from IE \ Internet Content\ Certificates on my desktop only the
new certificate shows in IE.

I know the expired certificate is not hurting anything, but I would like to
delete it anyway (and why is not showing under "All Certificates"?)

I also looked in the registry under
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\SystemCertificates\My\Certificates and
that key is totally empty.

Thanks

Run the certificate manager:

certs.msc

Is the old expired self-cert listed under the Personal -> Certs node? I'm
only assuming that is where it might be in the cert store since you never
mentioned HOW the old cert was generated or where you got it from or even
what it is used for.
