I want to create an address list that I can print, add too and edit. I also
want to be able to pick multiple addresses’s and print labels.

Contacts in Outlook supports that.

I tried outlook and this doesn’t meet my needs. The address and phone list
is for my personal use. I previously used Works Word and created a list I
printed to look up my family and friends phone numbers and addresses. I
don’t need categories such as Business phone and fax. Any other simple way
to create this list?

Rightclick the top of the column where it says "Business Fax" and so on, choose
Remove Column. Gone.

You can also export to CSV file and open that in Excel, delete the columns you
don't want, format the rest to taste and print.

There is no reason you can't open the list you already created using MS
Office Word if you save the file as .DOC in Works Word.
