Every time i shut down my XP computer it restarts. The only way I can get it
to shut down is to tun off the electricity.

How can I fix this?

Thank You,
Jim

98% of the time a pc does that,it's because of a hardware conflict.Try
removing
any optional hardware 1 @ a time till it ceases.Otherwise, try plugging
devices
into diffrent sockets or wire-points.

It is likely you have used a crack sometimes in the life of your computer to
generate serial numbers of trial software from Microsoft, Adobe, Corel,
Isobuster, Winzip etc.

The cracks should only be used on machines they are not your main system
otherwise they do something to the system32 folder. Have you checked that
folder to see if there are any recent files in it.
