Hi Guys, something strange(to me) has gone wrong with my computer. Had no problems until now. My computer will not boot up unless I put the windows xp disc in it the it boots ok, before it just booted up ok. Any ideas on how to put this right Thanks and Regards Bob

As LouB mentioned, the drive itself may be on it's way out, provided it is even allowing you to access the data after booting with your CD. If you do have access to the data you might want to try to backup all your data to another drive before trying to "fix" anything in case things just get worse.
