Compaq 6720 Laptop Keyboard

Flightless Bird
Need to replace the KB on one of these. Got it lifting and
disconnected two ribbon cables but something is holding the KB really
firm in the bottom left corner, under the ASZX keys or thereabouts.
Does anyone have an idea what this is, I don't want to use too much
force........

Look on the bottom and look for the letter "K" nearby one of the screws.
As many laptops have one screw holding down the keyboard in this
fashion. Sometimes it might be under one the the trap doors as well.

You know what,when I saw the keyboard symbol next to the screw I didnt
even have to read! The laptop KBs Ive seen B4 just fall
out..............

Yup, a lot of them today use screws now. Luckily they usually put a "K"
next to one of them so you know which screw needs to be removed. :)
