Collision Detection System for Robots Using Bladed Tools

Boonsri Dickinson reports that researchers at the Institute of Robotics and Mechatronics in Germany developed a collision detection system so robots using bladed tools such as scissors, kitchen knives, a screwdriver, and a scalpel will not strike human/animal flesh.
