Clip Organizer - not showing network scanning folder.

We’re using a cannon IR C3380 Serial network scanner via M/S clip
organiser to scan images.( add clips to organiser).
The Problem is with one user is there is NO folder in clip organiser
under "my collections" called "colour network scangear V2.x".
There is a folder “Scanner”.

in this case, the ScanGear tool detects the scanner using Microsoft
Clip Organiser the preview function works but after clicking scan the
images are nowhere to be seen.

Network Scanning is performed by clicking “File – add clips to
organizer – via scanner or camera”
After scanning completes The folder “color Network ScanGear V2.x appears
In collection list pane under the folder “My Collections”
In this folder is where the scanned image is generated.

The issue is confined to one particular profile on a one specific PC.
With this problem profile in the Clips Organiser there is a folder
named "scanner" but not "colour network scangear V2.x" nor does the
"colour network scangear V2.x" folder appear after scanning completes.

Other users have the folder "colour network scangear v2.x" and this is
where the scanned images normally appear after adding (clips to
organiser) see below screenshot.
There is no folder “scanner” As there is with the problem user profile.

Only this single user profile is affected. Other logins on the same pc
are ok.
So to the program is fine for the same user logon on other computers

I’ve tried updating the ScanGear software, running detect and repair and
reinstalling Office, but issue remains.

Also deleted the scangear registry keys and reinstalled Scangear again,
still no luck.

Would prefer to fix rather than recreate profile.

Is there a specific HKLU Clip Organiser registry key that relates to
this the problem?

Or any way to reset the clip organizer settings?

Many thanks.

The Organizer has its own Detect and Repair.

There are times when the Organizer catalog becomes damaged.

You can create a new catalog file by renaming the Mstore10.mgc to Mstore10.old.
It is in a hidden folder similar to this:
C:/Users\<<user>>\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Clip Organizer
You will lose any custom keywords.

Have you tried compacting the Organizer? Open the Organizer from Start, Office
Tools. When the Organizer opens, Tools, Compact.
If it is this one user, might try repairing the user's profile.

Hi thanks again for the suggestions.
Running the compacting tool has not solved the issue.

By repairing the user's profile do you mean copy the user data to and
create a new profile as in
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;811151
?
If not can you please suggest a repair procedure?

This method related to a corrupt user profile.

As mentioned I would prefer to fix the clip organizer issue rather than
rebuild the whole profile.

Have you any more imformation you can give on the clip organizer and
it's attributing files?

Even though a new collection folder can be created manually inside the
collections folder. for some reason the scanner folder won't create upon
scanning as it should.

Thankyou

Have you tried Canon for support?
http://www.usa.canon.com/opd/controller?act=OPDSoftwareAct&fcategoryid=2269&modelid=14355

I'm not well versed in profile changes, you can look in the Control Panel,
Users. While in the Control Panel look at the Scanner folder.
