Dell Vostro 1510 winXPpro..
I have two MSDos boot CD's..
No.1 = Ghost program..
No.2 = Gdisk + small dos programs..
Both CD,s boot and work just fine..
When I restart Windows and insert No.1, it shows drive D:/ with only the
Ghost program folder..
Then I insert No.2 and it still shows only the Ghost folder with the
Ghost.exe program?????
After POST the the Ghost folder still shows on D:/ when No.2 Gdisk is
inserted in the drive??
When I insert No.1 it now shows D:/ completely blank???
This problem exists exactly the same on an old Micron GX3 with winXPpro??
Other CD's with pictures etc. work o.k...

The floppy disks you have cannot read NTFS file system. If you want to
clone your HD then you need to boot using your dos disks. To clone, DOS
doesn't need access to HD, but you can also NOT see anything on HD.

You need to get the latest version of Norton Ghost 15 which, in my opinion,
is far superior to anything I have seen so far, Not even Acronis 2009 can
match it. not sure if Acronis 2010 is any better.

Norton 15 can allow to "cold-image" your HD or partition and this is very
much welcome if you want to clone your brand new DELL or HP machine without
even starting it!! The images can then be used to reset your system at
factory level without recourse to DELLs hidden partition.
